Congregation Mishkan Chicago and Rabbi Lizzi Heydemann chose to feature 60 of our PIF portraits and our photographic meditation during this year’s Rosh Hashanah services. During the Musaf Amida (part of the additional service on holy days), Rabbi Lizzi shared the meditation as an alternative to the text. It was beautiful to see our portraits and these wonderful souls from around the world coming to life on this larger than life screen on the Chicago Copernicus theater stage. Daniel then led an afternoon workshop on Yom Kippur during the break sharing the Portraits in Faith project and how different people around the world have answered our 8 questions about spirituality. Thank you again to Rabbi Lizzi Heydemann for all of her encouragement and support for PIF.
