Daniel’s photography teacher, David H. Wells, featured Portraits in Faith and Seeing The Other in his regular newsletter, The Wells Point. Daniel created Portraits in Faith as part of David’s Personal Storytelling Workshop at the Maine Photographic Workshops in Summer 2001. It was also David who suggested that Daniel hire his other former student, Tom Boechat, when Daniel had to go to Brazil on business soon after the workshop in Maine. Tom found new people for Daniel to interview and make portraits of and that led to the project we know of today! Thank you to David H. Wells for years of coaching and encouragement!
